Compatible with Traditional Construction Method [Bottom to Top]. In this method, a single circumferential seam can be applied using Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) inside or outside the tank. The AGW-1 is suspended from the upper edge of the tank. The AGW-1 is also compatible with the Tank Jacking Construction Method [Top to Bottom]. In this case, the AGW-1 applies circumferential SAW seams exclusively from the outside of the tank, using a temporary rail support. Input power: 120/240/1P/50/60. If circumferential seams are required to be welded from the inside of the tank, use a Girth Welder Model AGW-1-C (Single Side-Compact).

Notes:

1. Welding Procedure Design:  Our company recommends consulting a Certified Welding Engineer (CWEng) to design the welding procedure in accordance with the relevant national and provincial codes and standards. In Canada, CWEngs are certified by the Canadian Welding Bureau. In contrast, in the USA, they are accredited by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the American Welding Society (AWS), and the American Petroleum Institute (API), among other prestigious organizations worldwide. A CWEng is responsible for designing and selecting the appropriate welding parameters, which include plate beveling, wire and flux specifications, amperage, voltage, and welding speed, among other factors.

2. Training: Irizar does not offer training, as the machine is straightforward to operate. However, it must be operated by an experienced Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) Operator. Certification is required for this trade, meaning the operator holds a certification as a journeyperson. Irizar rental facility is available in Wetaskiwin, AB, Canada, where customer welder operators can familiarize themselves with the equipment and obtain coupons for qualifying Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Tests (WQT). Otherwise, we recommend purchasing the machine in advance and making it work in your shop before setting it up on the jobsite

3. Irizar Rental Facility:

• The user should provide a steel base plate with beveling, wire and flux.
• Minimum rental of five business days in an eight-hour shift. Includes: Two AGW-1-C and one SAW Welding Tractor.
• Maximum two operators at a time and one supervisor.
• Booking: Two to four weeks in advance.
• The user is required to provide a certificate of liability insurance.
